LBD Luncheon
I wore:
NY & Co. Dress
Gap belt
Ralph Lauren shoes
My motive:
So my model-esque and sweet friend Anna got married last week and I completely forgot to pack a dress for the bridal luncheon. Luckily I was staying at my parent's house and found this black dress that I bought for my high school graduation over 4 years ago. I tried it on last year but it did NOT fit. It was a joyful surprise when it zipped up effortlessly this past weekend to save me from having to go to a nice luncheon in my Nike t-shirt and Umbro shorts (the most comfortable pajamas ever).
It looked a little boring, so I put on that belt which I've worn just about every day since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I love the way this look turned out. I wish the dress wasn't linen because I'd love to wear it into winter time. Oh well, can't win 'em all!
I'm back!
I wore:
J.Crew t-shirt
Loft skirt
Target shoes
Nine West bag
and just because I go a day without something from the Gap- I put on that tiny little belt.
My motive:
Sorry for the lack of posts as of late. I haven't been wearing clothes. Psych! (SIKE?) EEk. Whatever, you know what middle school verbal slap in the face I'm referencing.
I bought this skirt at Loft for $3 (from $70) and got the belt for around the same price on a super sale at Gap. Also, the bag cost $11 (from $70), so I was feeling pretty good in my cheap duds. Sometimes I wish I had a place to wear cute stuff. Another word on the skirt- it's about 2 sizes too big for me but since it was such a good deal, I bought it. My mom always does stuff like that and I chastise her. I guess we're getting more alike.
I have 6 classmates who only sometimes comment on how overly dressed I am for our classes. My boss always says it's better to be severely overdressed than any kind of underdressed. I sure hope she's right because this skirt felt a little bit fancy for a normal day of errand running and class but apparently nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. I'd like to say I heard that directly from Eleanor Roosevelt herself but I really just heard it when I watched "The Princess Diaries" on ABCFamily the other day.
